Susan Proper is the cross-commodity analyst for field crops (oilseeds, feed grains, and wheat) in the Market and Trade Economics Division at USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS).

Background

Susan Proper has been at ERS since 2019. Prior to taking on her current role, Susan was an agricultural economist for the USDA Farm Service Agency.

Education

Susan received a M.S. in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a B.S. in Economics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
