Briefly

Jacqueline Michael-Midkiff joined the USDA Economic Research Service's (ERS) Office of Communications in 2020. She takes an active role in planning agency communications and providing guidance to the public and media on ERS research in the areas of agriculture, food, the environment, and rural America.

Background

Prior to her work at ERS, Jacqueline spent more than two decades at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Her career at BLS included collecting and analyzing data for the National Compensation Survey and Consumer Price Index programs before serving as the regional economist and chief of information for the BLS Mountain-Plains Office of Economic Analysis and Information. Jacqueline has a master's degree in public affairs, as well as bachelor's degrees in business and economics. She was a founding member of the Kansas City Association for Business Economics and is a former restaurant and catering service owner.
