Briefly

Mariana Matias is an agricultural economist with the Crops Branch of USDA’s Economic Research Service.  She is a contributor to the monthly ERS report Oil Crops Outlook and the ERS futures season average price forecasting model, both of which contribute to the monthly USDA World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report (WASDE) and USDA’s long-term baseline projections

Background

Mariana joined ERS in 2017. Prior to joining ERS, Mariana worked as a Statistician at Census Bureau and an Economist at the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Education

B.S. degree in Economics with a minor in Information Technology from George Mason University. Currently enrolled in the Applied Economics program at University of Maryland.
