SNAP benefits increased resources of poorest U.S. households, reversing declines in income floor

Researchers at USDA, Economic Research Service, the World Bank, and Georgetown University use a metric known as the income floor, which represents the income level of a society’s poorest household, to examine the effectiveness of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in supporting the most impoverished U.S. households.
