Helen Wakefield

Background

Helen Wakefield is an agricultural economist in the Crops Branch of the Market and Trade Economics Division at USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS). Helen joined ERS in May 2023 as an analyst for the specialty crops team. She contributes to USDA’s Fruit and Tree Nuts Outlook report and Fruit and Tree Nuts Data Products.

Education

Helen received a master of science degree in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University and a master of science degree in international political economy from The University of Texas at Dallas. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Sam Houston State University.
