School foods came closest to achieving the federally recommended 10 percent of calories from saturated fat, 2017–18

Survey data indicate U.S. consumers’ dietary quality differs from Federal recommendations for most nutrients and food groups examined, coinciding with an increase in percent of calories consumed at food-away-from-home establishments. However, whole-grain density in school foods has soared.
