In this webinar, ERS Economist Lorin Kusmin discussed the most recent indicators of social and economic conditions in rural areas, focusing on the U.S. rural economy, including trends in employment, earnings, population, poverty and income, as well as patterns of employment and earnings by industry. The USDA's Economic Research Service releases the Rural America at a Glance report annually (see link below), which summarizes the status of conditions and trends in rural areas.
