USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS) Food Dollar data product shows how each food dollar is distributed across the U.S. food supply chain from farms to consumers.

In March 2026, ERS updated the Food Dollar model by expanding coverage from 6 to 47 tables and refining the data to more accurately capture total food spending.

During this webinar, ERS Economists Quinton Baker and James Chandler Zachary provide an overview of the Food Dollar data product, highlight its uses, discuss the comprehensive 2026 update, and demonstrate how to access the data series on the ERS website.
