2024 Food Dollar industry group percent change in value added

This chart uses Food Dollar data to feature the value added by 13 industry groups in the domestic food supply chain. The vertical axis shows the 2024 industry group shares of value added per food dollar, and the horizontal axis shows the percentage change in value added by industry group from 2023. Livestock and food services had the largest increases in value added year over year, while energy, crops, and transportation and storage had decreases in value added since 2023.
