Subsequent data are national average prices for hard red winter wheat. 4/ Prior to 1998/99, referred to as other spring wheat. 5/ Prior to 1981/82, data were simple averages calculated by ERS for the all wheat prices in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri (major producers of soft red winter wheat). Subsequent data are national average prices for soft red winter wheat. 6/ Prior to 1981/82, data were simple averages calculated by ERS for the all wheat prices in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho (major producers of white wheat).
