U.S. and State-Level Farm Income and Wealth Statistics (Includes the U.S. Farm Income Forecast for 2013)
These are the latest data concerning the farm income forecast, including the forecasts for the income statement for the U.S. farm sector, value added, cash receipts and value of production, government payments, farm production expenses, and the balance sheet. Included are historical U.S. and State-level farm income and wealth statistics. Historical/State data cover the topics of net value added and net farm income, net cash income, cash receipts and value of production, government payments, farm production expenses, and the balance sheet.
Data are added once a year and revised up to three times a year, in February, August and November. The August release converts the prior year's farm income and balance sheet forecasts to estimates and adds State-level farm income estimates.
Note: Estimates are subject to revision 1 year after their preliminary release (so August 2013 preliminary estimates for 2012 will be revised/finalized in August 2014). Revisions are made only when additional information becomes available that changes the summarization of survey results. Because NASS estimates are a primary source of information to the accounts, revision in their estimates will be incorporated in our estimates when our preliminary estimates are finalized. Examples include revisions in official estimates of commodity production that are a result of a census or other credible new information. Estimates may also be revised when administrative data are changed.
The data below are as of November 26, 2013. The next potential revision will be February 11, 2014. These tables cover the full history of data through 2013F, where available.
