Notes: “Usual shopper” includes those who answered question on whether they usually grocery shopped for the family with “Yes” or “split equally”

“Usual prep” includes those who answered question on whether they usually did food preparation for the family with “Yes” or “split equally”

The code for grocery shopping is 070101, food preparation and cleanup 0202xx, and sleeping 010101 and 010102.  Housework is all 02xxxx activities (including food preparation and cleanup) except 020903 and 020904.  Child care is 0301xx,0302xx, 0303xx, 0401xx, 0402xx, and 0403xx.  Paid work includes all of code 05xxxx except 050202.  Related travel times are not included in any of the activities.

As of October 1, 2008, the Food Stamp Program was renamed as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
