ERS’s 2-day conference investigated how
proprietary scanner data can contribute to food policy
research. Sessions included: the impact on consumers of
economic shocks, food labels, and changes to WIC/school
nutrition policies, as well as tracking healthy purchases,
methodological issues with scanner data, and exploring
the future potential for these data. An agenda
is available. Presentations are now available on the Farm
Foundation's website.
