ERS is hosting a celebration of 100 years of food consumption statistics for members of the press and participants in the food, nutrition, and agriculture community. Marion Nestle, Paulette Goddard Professor, Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health, New York University, will give the keynote address. A National Cancer Institute researcher and food industry representatives will provide examples of how they use the ERS Food Availability Data System in their research and advocacy efforts.

ERS has significantly redesigned and improved their web-based ERS Food Availability Data System. Various features of the new user-friendly, custom reports will be demonstrated. Other enhancements include updated documentation and questions & answers, an expanded glossary, and a new multimedia product to highlight the data and its uses. Attendees will be given an opportunity to try the new features of the data system at this event.

A preliminary agenda is available. Attendance is free, but registration is required due to limited space.
